 I spoke to a friend about ovulating who has been trying to fall pregnant for a while. She says she ovulates early or late every month and she went to see the doctor and he told her that it wasn't anything to worry about. It was just the way her body worked. She got all stressed and worked up with testing herself all the time to check when she was ovulating that it took the "fun" out of the baby making. Her and her partner nearly split up until I suggested they stop with the stressful testing and try and make a baby by just having sex when they are in the mood. There hasn't been any news yet, but I'm hopeful.
Before your friend panics to much get her to monitor herself over a few months as it could just be one month she's a few days out, or it could be the way her body is. If she is really concerned I'm sure chatting things through with her gp will help.

 Is her cycle short? Long? Mine averages about 24/25 days so i ovulate on day 12. Most women are day 14/15. Has she missed it?
I get twingy pains when i ovulate. Thats how i worked out when i would most likely get preganant. They are a bit like mild period pains.
But i would ask her how long her cycle tends to be as thats relivent.
