I noticed how the lyrics just made things feel better. The song reminded me of how much I still had, my friends, family, etc. From then on I've listened to it when I got sad or discouraged. But then in January, a friend of mine came to me(see in http://www.dearcupid.org/question/plain-confused.html) and I tried to help her, after which my parents lost trust in me and people hated me. When I got home, I just lied down in my room and listened to the song. This time it could not help. I played in again and again, until the happy, upbeat song became depressing, sad songs. They made things worse and just kept reminding me of what I've done and what I lost. My brother then came and just changed the song, he played Vegas again. I was brought back, and my spirit was lifted. Then a week later, my parents and I talked and patched things up. And everyone else forgave me. A simple song gave me the strength to talk to my parents, a simple song brought me back from depression, a song got me through the worst times in my life. But a simple song also brought me down, a song dug my grave deeper. I guess the point of all of this was that music does change people, both writers and listeners. Reply to this Article Share |

And yes I find it funny music makes us feel better or worse. :)
