A female Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I was online on FB last night and a good friend of mine wrote to me and said: .. bare in mind he is a good friend of mine and is completely not my type. I don't know what to do? Will I regret not taking this chance? Is he even asking for a chance or is he just informing me that he likes me? Someone please help!

Him: What happens when you fancy a girl in your class?

Me:I'd suppose you tell her

or don't, depends where you want to go with it

Him:Ok, so here goes nothing! I fancy you!

I hope it doesn't ruin our friendship!

Me:Awh Dave, I'm really flattered! Absolutely not, don't worry about it

Him:Are u sure? I'm really confused! Never had these like of feeling before!

*kind

Me:Super sure! that is super sweet!

Him: Awh glad your ok with it! I dunno, there is just something about you! I dunno if it's your confidence or what but its awesome!

Me: That is like one of the nicest things any one has ever said to me ha!

Him: Like, I'm actually serious! I dunno why people treat you like... You're so much smarter than they! Wouldn't listen to that BS

Me:I'm not really, but thank you again!

I also just realized, you are drunk

Him:I'm not drunk! I mean every word!

Me:You are drunk though, don't even lie haha!

Him: Ok, I've had a few drink over 2 hours ago! I've been trying to tell u this for a while now and I know I've put you in an awkward situation!

Me: I've just never been put in this situation before is all ha

Him: I completely understand but I can't see why! You're an amazing lady! Ppl are just stupid!

Me: I think I just need time to process this information

Him: That is completely acceptable! Take as long as you want! U have my number anyway so text me if ya need me over the weekend! As I said, I'm always there for ya

Me: I will, and thanks Dave

Him: Listen it's no probs! I'm glad to make you're night , like u make everyday

Me: Well you go to bed now dude and don't burn down your house or do something else crazy;) ha

Haha lousy on you. I know you didn't mean to OP but you completely led him on.

I mean it's fine to take as a compliment but you were seriously gushing all over him. "Oh my god thank you so much, soooo sweet, oh wow, oh, that's so amazing!" etc.

OP you basically just opened the door for him to think of doing this non-stop now, any time he's drunk he knows he can sweet talk you, tell you how much he loves you etc. Have fun dealing with that all the time haha, wait until you're out drinking with him next, that's when the real uncomfortable situations happen.

Plus your response makes it sound like he's totally in with a chance.

OP you said he's completely not your type, so why would you regret not "taking a chance" plus he was drunk, he may not even like you in that way and just gets loved up while drunk.

Seriously though, enjoy the flood of loved up bullshit he now feels he can talk to you about, it never gets annoying, I swear. :P
