A female Canada age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I was looking up a number in my husband's contacts on his phone. As I did this, I noticed a contact saved under Microsoft. I did not see this contact before on his phone, and I thought he had added it recently. I opened it to see the contact info. It had a phone number which did not look like a company number. I called it. It was a woman who answered the phone. I found this very strange as the number was saved under Microsoft. I asked her why her number was saved on my husband's phone under Microsoft. She said she did not know him. My husband is almost 70. She told me she was 13 and has no idea why a man his age would have her number. I asked if there is something I should know, I am his wife. But she said remained adamant she did not know him and has never been in touch with him. She asked me all these questions about why I have trust issues etc. I just sensed she was older than 13. And I felt like if she knew my husband, she was not going to give him away.

I am worried he is paying a young girl for sex and covering up for him. Or that she is someone he is seeing for sex occasionally and covering up for him. I know it could be a reassigned number but I don't buy it. My husband does not know how the number got there. He said it must be an old number, saved years ago on his phone, and he has never erased it, that belonged to Microsoft. I looked up the head office number and it does not match. He said there were other offices in Canada. I can't seem to find them. The company is no longer operating in Canada.

He went through his phone before and erased all the contacts he no longer uses. If this was an old contact, he would have erased it. But I don't recall seeing it before. It seems to be new. And also, the area code and first three digits of the phone number belong to a local phone company here, and these numbers were just released for use within the last year. So, how could that number be years and years old? I am not sure what to believe. I am pretty upset. And that girl also lives in the same city as us. What a coincidence. How do I know if he is lying? I am ready to leave him over this. Can anyone provide some guidance? I hate him right now.

A saved number doesnt prove that he has ever called, messaged or met this person. Suggest you look at the call and message history on the phone. Though if you have confronted your husband about it and he is remotely tech savvy he will have deleted that by now. You could ask the phone company if they have a record (assuming it's a shared account). Considering he is your husband do you really think it is fair to jump straight to the conclusion he is molesting young girls? Surely if you think that, there is a bigger issue here? If you really doubt him you could buy a tracking device or pay a private detective but if you dont trust him is it worth it?

Honeypie agony auntCan you get a statement from the phone company? An itemized one? So you can see if he has called this number before, recently, or at all?

I had an odd number in my contact and I think it was someone calling with a "wrong number" and somehow it got saved in contacts. I don't know how. But stuff happens.

Before you accuse him of predatory behavior, CHECK out the phone records first.
