writes: This friend of mine is getting deployed quite soon, and he was telling me that this is his third deployment in his 3 year marriage (this is his 2nd marriage) and that he´ll lose his wedding anniversary again, like kinda of complaining.Since I´m single I don´t know what to say to him in order to feel better.I guess these are normal thoughts of someone in the military with deployments and all, but what can I tell him to cheer him up!Is it Ok for him to share those feelings with me that has no clue!Help!!Well, I guess he's looking for sympathy!

reader, anonymous, writes (11 April 2008): The only thing you can do when someone goes on deployment is to keep in touch with them, even the littlest things makes an effort. i have been deployed twice in the last two years and the thing that i enjoy the most are letters and little gifts, when people ask others they usually are looking for sympathy, but you really cant give them much of that since you dont know what they are going through.

my husbad was deployed 7 times and he choose the army . and i choose hem and the army so u can't do nothing hes wife need to cheer hem up both need to be strong army is not a easy life and they both know .
