A female , anonymous writes:

Hi, about a year ago I was with my first serious boyfriend. We were together for just under a year and we broke up because he started drinking loads and was very clingy (rang me on average 3 times a day).

After we broke up, within days, he moved on to other girls and a couple of months later went out with my best friend and they have been on and off ever since.

I however haven't been able to trust a guy since and when I'm asked out I instivtively say no. As a result I have lost a lot of confidence.

I'm still friends with the girl but whenever I see my ex he makes a move on me and even admits he does it; however, my friend knows nothing about this because whenever I tried to tell her she didn't believe me.

I've never felt jealous of their relationship, only hurt that my friend didn't tell me about it and I heard from gossip. I don't want him back, that's why when he makes a move I say no.

Now they have broken up for about a month and she's already in the dating circle again. I can't seem to put myself out there. Please help.

You need to realise that not all men are the same as the one you have been with previously..if you dont love him nomore and you are not still hung up on him then you really need to start going out and enjoying yourself..dont worry about meeting someone new if your not ready there is no rush.
