He has told you he does not want to make promises and vows to be faithful without meaning those words or knowing that he is unlikely to be able to fulfill the promise on being faithfull to you...No confusion there
It's left for you do decide with the information and knowledge that you have,what you do with it...Stop trying to deceive yourself saying you are confused because he did not tell you what you want to hear...
