writes: Are you feeling the effects of the current economy? Is your relationship suffering because of it? Well don't despair....there are things that you can do.1. Be creative. Think of some low cost (or no cost) ways to put a smile on your partner's face. Go out and watch a movie together or stay home and enjoy an intimate evening filled with candles, music, and a dish of your partner's favorite meal. Do things that are fun...but inexpensive. You should also ask your partner what he or she would like to do. Communicate, communicate, communicate. Communication is the key to every successful relationship.2. Don't dwell on it. I know it may be difficult not to think about the economy when you're looking at your bank statement or everywhere you turn there's someone who is talking about it. But dwelling on the situation will not make it better. Focus on more positive things. Think about all of the wonderful reasons why your relationship is still going on. And understand that you have a good partner. You have someone who's willing to be with you regardless of how much money you make...or how much you spend.3. Have faith. You have to trust that things are going to get better. Even the big stock market crash that happened many years ago made a recovery. If you're in a relationship that is going through a tough time because of the economic crisis, have faith that things will change for the better....and do whatever you can in your power to ensure that it will.
