14 year old boyfriend fears

Question - (28 February 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 28 February 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So im a 14 year old girl who is having major problems.

I have never had a boyfriend or someone who likes me.

I have a spinal problem, meaning im a lot shorter than everyone else my age and i have a problem with my speech. (I talk out of my nose. Not my fault. Problems when i was a baby)

This lead to the fact that no-body tries to communticate with me. I am a really nice person but no one actually takes the time to get to know me. I can try to talk to people but i just get a disgusted look.

I like a lot of guys out there, but i really don't know how to handle this situation. Literally everyone else i know has / had a boyfriend and i haven't.

Im generally shy and that doesn't help either.

I don't think that i'll ever find someone.

Be strong and try not to care about what

other people think. I know it's hard not too

and almost everyone does, but think about it

as if its there loss, which it definatley is..

look at the bigger picture of life.. and try coming

out of your shell, you will find someone eventually,

don't stop looking...

jessica04 agony auntI think the biggest problem is what you said at the end, that you're shy.

It's terrible the way society has begun to treat people who are different from what is considered 'normal', and at your age, I can imagine you feel that the most.

Just be confident and happy. Nothing is more attractive than a genuine smile. If you start coming out of your shell, soon people will hardly notice your differences, they'll start to notice you for what you do.

It's unfair that you are put in a position to prove so much to people, but I have faith you can do it :) Good luck, Love!
