writes: Hi guys just looking for support or adviceFound out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago after a routine blood test at the doctors it came as an absolute shock as me and my boyfriend were on a rocky road and the fact i had thought i got my period a week before after thinking about it i decided i wasnt it the best position to have a baby so decided on a termination so booked it and everythingOn the day of my appointment i had to take a pregnancy test which came out positive and then a scan to determine how far along i was the nurse couldnt find anythin on the scan so took a blood test where the hcg levels were extremely low (was at 100) based on the date of conception so i was told i had already miscarried and the hormones hadnt left my body yetHas anyone ever heard of this before happening i feel emotional and grieving over losing a child that was goin to terminate is this normal?

yes this is quite common and I have heard of it happening. you feel emotional and grieving because although you didnt know about being pregnant your body did know and it was already preparing itself for the (almost) 9 months ahead. you are also feeling emotional because your hormones are messed up because of first being pregnant then losing it (I dont mean you are messed up just the hormones might be out of balance, sorry if that sounded offensive) so you cant help what you feel right now. do get some counselling or advice, and remember there is nothing you could have done to stop the miscarriage as 30% of pregnancies end this way. good luck.
