A male Netherlands age 26-29, *atguy27 writes:

I told a girl I really liked too early about my feelings and now she is ignoring me. Before I asked her, I was pretty sure that she liked me too, but when I told her that I loved her she said she didn't know whether she liked me. I understand why she said that but should I leave this now for what it is or should I hold on my feelings for her and try to win her heart, but play it more slow. Is she now afraid, angry or something?

Thanks for your time.

Nothing is wrong with confessing to a girl fast, in fact I tend to encourage it with my friends. But I think in your case you jumped the gun. Love is a pretty strong word and even in my view it was too hasty on your part. If she is ignoring you, your chances now are to whether the storm and try to talk to her a bit in person so maybe she can see you aren't completely nuts.

kenny agony aunti think that you took her by suprise by the i love you thing and you have scared her off a little. I think that you should leave it for a while, maybe a couple of weeks and let the dust settle. If you bombard her with texts and calls now she most certainly will run even further away. leave it a couple of weeks and let what happened blow over, then maybe send a simple text asking how she is doing just to test the water, but only after you have given her the space she needs.

Good luck
