Partying, seeing movies, typical summer fun. Going into the relationship we both didnt think anything would happen hence he is going to play for Pitt football this fall and i am staying local..(which is two hours away) eventually we are now in a relationship...he leaves for pitt tomorow! my question is do you think our relationship will fail or not? Ive heard people usually like to be single going into college and there will probaly be a lot of girls after him since he plays football for pitt.. i just need some input thanks:)

It is hard to say - I guess it depends on how much you both want to make it work. Long distance relationships are hard and it needs a lot of trust so you are not constantly worried or jealous.
It is true that people do often like to be single when going to college, and when people go to college but have a relationship back home more often than not the relationship does fail. This happened to me - I really loved my boyfriend and we really wanted to make it work, but you change so much as a person and you have so many new experiences that it felt like we were holding each other back and stopping each other from enjoying the true University experience.
So in your case - I'm not going to lie to you, it is more likely that you will split up rather than manage to stay together. But if you are both really determined to make it work and both put loads of effort in, then you never know, it might be ok. Just keep being honest with each other, talk about how you both feel lots and give it your best shot.
I hope this helps and good luck!
