Shaken, not stirred...

, posted over a year ago

Lame? Sure, why not? 8] My name is Li, and I frequent DearCupid.org mainly as a contributor. Yes, i come off as blunt and somewhat devious - in terms of being too harsh sometimes? Rather, I would like make that as a way for those asking questions to see other point of views. ANYWAY, I am 27, male, Capricorn and I am unavailable for any new relationship. Alas this is an introduction and not a Singles post... 8] BTW, good job Andrew!

Hi Martini. Thanks for introducing yourself :-). I enjoy reading your advice, it is the different viewpoints that people offer that makes this site what it is! Andrew

Hello Martini, Sexybum here I actually like your answers, you speak your mind and give advice good and to the point. On this site you can only give your opinions and people post questions in order to get replies. Its beeter for them to have one they don't like then none at all, I'm not saying they won't like your answers, I like the stuff you say, and thats weird cause I'm a Libra and Libra and Capricorn are supposed to hate each other!!!

You make me laugh and you make me frown, I look for you when thinking of answering questions as your advice is so amusing and good, well most of the time, sometimes as you know I disagree with you and that is healthy. Keep writing and brightening up my lunch hour!!

Hi Martini, Nice to meet you. I just wanted to say, although I took you to 'task' on one of your postings, I must say, I enjoy reading your comments. They are fun, enlightening and you speak from your heart. Keep up the good work. And if you slip up again, I won't hesitate to 'slap your wrists' again, so to speak. lol :) Take care and behave!

Thanks everyone, I too enjoy a lot of people's responses. I know sometimes I come off too harsh - probably because certain things strike a bad cord, on what happened similarily to me in the past. Anyway, keep the posts going! I considered signing up for moderatorship, but nah. I'll leave that to the better suited aunts (and uncles). 8]

Yea, I think many of us can 'relate' to what a lot of people post,in their questions. I know a few have really struck me, as well. I think there a lot of wonderfully, brilliant Agony Aunts and Uncles out there...I think the responses are amazing!

Each agony aunt has there own experiences and fields of expertise. I tend to think the best threads and best answered questions are those that have a string of variable answers from each agony aunt, each offering a different point of view, and each offering different types of advice. And some people do need to hear their advice quite bluntly in order for them to understand or take it. Thats why its good to have an agony aunt / uncle that does that. Just as we need sensitive aunts / uncles etc.

Yes,i totally agree with Sexybum.....we have got agony aunts and uncles who have a nice, soft side to their advice which is just as valuable as some of the other ones that give it to you straight.Everyone has a different opinion and i think its good that the person with the problem can read the different answers and makeup their own mind in what to do for the best.I can sometimes be blunt but i like to think im being fair as well, the rest of the agony aunts and uncles are doing a wonderful job!

I love reading other people's replies. The funniest ones tho are the ones were everybody gets really wound up 'cos nobody agrees and I must admit to playing devil's advocate sometimes....not that you would ever guess. What I find pretty cool is the fact everyone is from different countries/cultures/religons etc and yet we all come together to help people here. Maybe that sounds a little cheesey, but to me it says that people try to be inherently *nice* around the world. And THAT is a good feeling. :-)
