Hey, I'm not tired!!!!!!!!!

, posted over a year ago

Has anyone got any solutions to getting to sleep???? I am not tired and have a very very very busy day ahead tomorrow, but i just cannot sleep, think my head just wants to get on with the day, but i need sleep before it. Any good tips on getting off to sleep? I've counted sheep, weasels and all the usual. I had some milky drinking chocolate and a warm bath. Helpxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Because you've got a lot on your mind its unlikely your going to get to sleep easily...

You could try playing some repetitive classical music, or you could just lay there in silence, trying to block out your mind.

As this probably won't work, I guess the repetitive music it is.

Sorry I can't help much, I don't get to sleep easily either. Its my I-Pod that sends me to sleep...

Thanks for that, i will try and listen to some music on the walkman. I'm also a bit worried about my youngest son, 16, camping out all night with friends, and i know there is drink involved, but what can i do, hes growing up fast.

thanks

Yeah theres not a lot you can do.

As long as hes happy and he has some form of boundaries...then it should be fine...

Sorry I can't think of anything else to send you too sleep. You could listen to me all night, or I could write you an essay on the Gecko species...now that will send you too sleep.

Hi Hunny ur probably asleep now but just incase meditate taking 10 deep breaths in through your nose holding it for 10 and slowly breath out through your mouth..Do this and concentrate on your breathing only. slowly feeling more and more relaxed..This should help alot hunny.

Pepper, don't hyperventilate and pass out on me!

Kinky, you could also try camomile tea. Do you guys get TAZO tea? There's one called 'calm' or something similar. That's pretty mellow.

Another thought is similar to the breathing exercise. You start at your head & neck, I think, and tense up a bit then relax very very slowly, let all the tension drain out of that part of you, then move down to your shoulders, then arms, then hands, then torso, tummy, etc etc ending with the toes. The idea is to slow squeeze all the tension out of you while you lie there concentrating on the relaxing.

Good luck, and I expect this suggestion comes too late. I hope you're in dreamland and everything's fine with your son & friends.

xxx

Breathing exercises are good but you have to do it slowly; some soft classical music in the backgroud will help; you can also drink some tissue salts number 6 and 9 will help you to relax and sleep better; BUt must of all: think about about something great and positive that you would like to do tomorrow or in the near future; start planning something youwould like to do; dream about it/ visualize it;

SWEET DREAMS!

Sometimes when you are worried... no one sees your stress.

That's loverly...thanks, but the problem now my little nest of vipers, is...I've accidently pulled my curtain rail down and broken it...the sun is wakin me up far too early. It's too bloody bright!!!!!

I yanked the curtains a little too hard and the whole lot came crashing down on top of me.

I went out and bought a pole....a bendy one at that, so it would fit in the bay window, but my son will not keep to his promise and put the feckin thing up for me! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!

So, Peps, I think today will be his final warning before the old bungee thing happens.

Hugs backatcha!

Ok.Girls! Here I go.This happened a week back.mom in law added Ginger to my 3 month old son's bottle milk for the first time. Its an Indian tradition that aids digestion.Trouble was she added a whole lot.Baby kept crying through out the night.I thought since IHorrors in my was awake I will get the washing done.Horror of sleeplessness I had forgotten to take the drain pipe down from the washing machine. The entire house got flooded. So I spent the entire night taking care of the sick baby and mopping the water from the house. The next day We had to go for a vacation.we landed at the wrong airport. When I thought things couldn't get worse there were three sleazebags behind who talked filthy things through out the flight.whew!am just glad to be back with you guys.:)
