Why is my girlfriend mad?

I need help because my girlfriend is driving me up the wall. Yesterday at some point she said she hates Xmas eve because she's 17 (I'm 21) and therefore too young to drink (in the UK) at the end of the day i text her saying do you mind if i go out Xmas eve (i honestly forgot she said that she hates Xmas eve) We've had a huge argument because she doesn't believe i forgot which i did. She still is today mad at me because i don't see it her way she thinks i don't want to spend it with her but would rather spend it with my mates, which i don't because i love her. How can i make her see that i want to spend it with her?

why dony u try compramising with her. spend a few hours with her then meet ur mates later than planned.

how about taking her out, showwing her that you really do love her, and have a good chat how you feel about her :)
