I found this on this site and my case basically exactly matched his.

Although I have heard something about suspensory ligament damage. When I was young I didn't really masturbate properly and rubbed it against my stomach. But, as it appears it was totally natural for my thing to be in that position, at that age I just did what felt good.

So just to sum up. Is it perfectly normal that when lying down your erection does point towards your own face and not towards the ceiling? When you want to have sex with the women on top do you just have to kind of move your thing up and put it in and it should stay?

Sorry for going off on a ramble, but I just wanted to see if you could help.

When I get my erection it is fairly flexible and has some give. Is this just a variable thing and it can differ with different people?

Any help is much appreciated.

Lizz, I think you have misunderstood me. It does not point downwards. When I am lying down it does point towards my face/shoulders, which appears to be the norm. So happy days!

Lizz agony auntNot all penises were created equall. I am a female and I've seen a few and they're all different. Some point to the left others to the right. I have never encountered one that points down when guy is laying on his back, though. Usually points toward face or shoulders.

If it continues to bother you or makes sex difficult by all means go see a doctor, but if it's not affecting your sex life and you can still get the show on the road then go with it, man.

Many thanks for the replies jm81690, duce00 and the anonymous contributor. It's certainly appreciated.

Duce, that humour is just fine. I can see where you are coming from. Obviously there isn't a correct way to do it, it's just that in the world we live in if you do something differently I suppose you feel self-concious about it.

Everything seems to be in working order then I suppose which is kind of a relief.

Thanks for the help.

Anyone?

As I say, any help much appreciated.

Just want to have my mind at rest, and not feel self concious about it and get on with being young.

jm81690 agony auntWhen I get an erection it isn't at a 90 degree angle.

Ever watch porn? I don't think I've ever seen someones penis point directly upwards man.

duce00 agony auntHey Bing,

Sorry if I cant help but be a little humorous on this subject but Im still chuckeling over your comment about

"When I was young I didn't really masturbate properly". Man! Where was that handbook when I was a teenager?

Ok a little more serious now...I am a guy so Im sure you can allow me a little bad humor right?

My understanding and experience regarding angle of penis and erection is that its related to the tendon on the top of your Johnson. Mine no longer points up and I dont think it has anything to do with how I masturbate. If the tendon on top is shorter that the mass of your shaft it puts tension and pulls it up. Thus the salute.

Take a look at this site. It gives you a no nonsense anatomy lesson on your beloved trouser snake.

PS: Ive never asked other guys your question but Id think this is true for more than just me. Once I was done growing and my hormones were a little more settled down my Johnson got thicker. There wasnt that salute anymore but the girth was a fair trade in my book.

I'm 17 and my boyfriend is also.

You seem fine to me. When my boyfriend gets an erection it doesn't point to the ceiling it points towards his face. He can move it up to point if he wants to - he does this sometimes when he's messing about.

When I'm on top of him he still has an erection and it doesn't hurt him when I move his penis upwards to put inside me. Don't worry everything seems fine to me and you are masterbating properly if it feels good.

Obviously not everyones penis is the same so it does vary.

Good Luck xx
