Totally normal. I downloaded an app on my phone a few months ago that tracks your period and your ovulation cycle in a calender. Called My Days. It gives you the ability to put in notes and put down days when you were intimate. I noticed by looking at the last couple months exactly when I am very much wanting sex and when it wanes. Now it makes sense reading other aunts posts that I want sex a lot during ovulation time, lol. Then the week after that I lose interest and sex is down to once a week. It was interesting to see so I'd recommend you getting the app provided you have a smart phone, you learn your body even more.

One time, I went several HOURS without a craving for s*x...
THEN, that movie (Saving Private Ryan) was over and the cravings came right back... when I was exiting the cinema and saw the cutest little thing in short shorts and a crop-top!!!
Sure, you're normal.....
P.S. She was ALSO wearing platform heels!!!!

Yay hormones (sarcasm)! Totally normal. For instance for me, my sex drive peaks the week before my period and bottoms out the week after.

Absolutely normal, like the other aunts have said. That's the amazing human body for you! A woman's sexual desire increases dramatically during ovulation because this is when we are most fertile and likely to get pregnant.

Very normal I think, especially for females. Your cycle dictates your drive, and because your hormones are fluctuating week from week, it's normal to not want it one day, then suddenly be ravenous the next few.
Birth control can also have an affect, if you're using it.

That's very normal! Menstrual cycles aren't just for menstruation! Usually a week and a half to two weeks after the first day of menstruation, women ovulate, sending the egg from our ovaries to the uterus. For most of us, at this time, our hormones, specifically testosterone and progesterone are at their peak soon after ovulation. This ramps up our sex drive, making us the most desiring of sex at the same time our bodies are most fertile.
So we find that our sexual desire is more intense at certain periods, and less so at others. Sometimes our hormones go out of sync, which is why some of us sometimes find ourselves really...uhh...healthy even during menstruation.
Who knew that our sex drives could sound like a chemical lab experiment, eh?
