A male age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hey, I'm an 18 yr. old male. I'm a virgin, and I hang out with the kind of crowd where you don't find many. I'm a college football player, and a talented musician, so most of my friends are pretty popular. I've wanted to go all the way for some time, but no girl has ever wanted to. Any pointers? By the way, if the guys on the football team found out, I would probably switch schools.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (9 December 2006):

the obsession with losing virginity out of a need to prove to everyone how much of a man you are (really, you're just trying to prove it to yourself) is just a sign of your fundamental insecurity. try growing up a little bit.

you don't need pointers, you need patience and to stop thinking about girls as just a ticket out of your virginity hell. stop caring so much what everyone thinks of you - be your own man for chrissake.

You might be surprised to know just how many around you are virgins too even if they say they aren't.

bellachic385 agony auntThe peer pressure on those teams can be so tough. Don't go out for a one night stand. Virginity is a special thing. Once it is gone it's gone. It sounds so cliche but it is so true. Find someone special and see where it goes. You seem like a great, well rounded guy, I wouldn't worry about it. You will find someone and the right time to "go all the way." Good Luck.
