ugh101 agony auntIf you want to lose the weight and keep it off you have to change your lifestyle. Like being aware of what you are consuming, stop drinking soda, teas, ext or just reducing them, drink lots of water and milk, start going to the gym regularly and if u change your lifestyle and you just going on a diet and as soon as u hit the weight you want going back to what you normally do now. Thn you should be able to look and feel great. But tens pounds overweight isnt that much. Good luckXX

vonVent agony auntLook, i don't want to be harsh or rude at all. Especially to a mother of 3 kids. I can imagine that you have dedicated to your family and now you only want to do something for yourself and feel good about your body, right? But all that you need is motivation and willpower. Losing weight is not what should be your goal. Losing fat and getting fit should be. If you want to do it the easy way - well yes, you can take chromium pills that mess up with your brain and tell your taste center that sweet is not sweet. Yes you can deprive your body of energy and let it eat itself. Yes you will lose weight, but that's not healthy. Don't you think your body deserves better?

There is another option. And maybe it's not "easy", but hey, nothing good comes easy. Taking care of your family is also not easy, but you don't hesitate about it. Now, it's time to do this effort for you. I'll try to summarize it:

1. If you are overweight, that means your metabolism is slowed and your body is in energy conserving mode, which means that everything you eat is sticking to your body immediately. A simple diet, by itself won't change this. So in short - you need to speed up your metabolism. You do that with ... physical exercise. :)

2. You need to do the change slowly. Take small steps each day towards a healthier lifestyle. First identify what are those small things that tempt your lazy side. Maybe the next time you go to the store, you will take a walk, instead of driving.

3. Burn more energy than you take. Find some time for jogging. It's impossible, believe me, to run 5 miles each day and not to lose fat and get amazing body. :)))

4. Eat a lot of fruits and don't restrain your body of carbs. It's not carbohydrates by themselves that are your problem, but your body's way of consuming them. Try to eat foods with low glycemic index (more info on wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycemic_index). Focus on eating as much as you need, not as much as you want. Avoid junk foods, animal fat and hydrogenated fats (margarine).

5. Finally try to motivate yourself by focusing on the positives, not the negatives. When jogging in the park enjoy the nature and the fresh air that your lungs are pumping. Enjoy life at it fullest and know that, for sure, if you really want - you can accomplish anything.

I didn't have intention of writing such long answer, but i got carried away. :)

Hope you get the results you want, but remember - have patience, discipline and you will leave your body no other option than be slim and sexy. ;)

busy04 agony auntYou don't have to do a serious very hard diet if you don't want to. You can start with just changing your eating habits first, eat lots of fruits & vegetables. Limit your portions of food, drink plenty of water & if you can do moderate exercise 30 minutes a day, it really works. And try not to eat late at night.

And be patient, you can't lose overnight, so take your time you don't want to hurt yourself. Remain positive! Don't look down on yourself because you may not see changes very quickly. It takes a little time to lose extra pounds.

Wish you the best! :)
