 damn don't you hate guys like that! it appears to me that he isn't prepared to enter a relationship since he is embarassed or is just a tosser. i suggest you confront him about it so you can determine which of the above he is. tell him that you dislike how he acts with his friends. basically, be honest.

 Tell him what you want from him. If he doesn't want to commit to the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing, give him the boot. This situations spells out heartache to me...it's better to find out now if he's using you than a little while down the road when things have gotten more physically intimate.

 Stop making out with him until he starts treating you the way you want to be treated. Let him know that you want some attention and you want to be more than just some girl he makes out with. Sometimes you simply have to ask for what you want. If he is not catching on, you need to tell him what he is doing wrong and what you want from him.
