I texted him Happy Birthday and he texted back 'thank you my sweet friend :) xx I hope to see you soon'. Would you interpret this as he now just sees us as friends or still likes me. Any opinions gratefully received! We have know each other for a few years, we live a long way apart, had a fling a few years ago, stayed in touch (xmas, bdays etc) and are now both single. Whilst being in touch our texts have always been of quite a romantic affectionate nature! I am out of practice with guys now I think! Thanks very much :)

So the question is do you want him to be interested in you? Does he want a relationship with you or just sex? And I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one...

All I know is that if I had txted that it would mean more than just a howdy doo the xx and the word "sweet" would be the give aways to me. Lots of luck
