reader, anonymous, writes (11 December 2008): Yes. A lot of boys like to do the chasing. Try to resist calling and wait for the boy to call. If he doesn't, he may not be interested enough, in which case it would be better to meet someone who values you more. The only exception I would make would be if the boy was shy. But then you should let him know that you would welcome his call, give him your number or better still find a way to make him think it was his idea to call you and ask for your number.

 Of course you should expect the boy to call. In fact, back in the day it was considered very forward of a girl to call a boy at all. If a guy is truly interested, he'll call. Stop calling and see what happens.
