writes:One of my male managers at work has lately been teasing me a lot. It's pretty immature stuff (i.e, silly nicknames, tapping at my desk, picking on me, etc.). He also brags frequently in front of me (as well as other co-workers) about his sex life, his girlfriend, his "conquests" and so forth. It's a little uncomfortable in that I feel like I have to listen to him go on and on about it, while everyone just ignores it and says "well we all know how he is as a womanizer."He even commented about my skirt how it should be "longer." I'm not sure if he is joking around playfully with me, or what he's doing. Why is he doing this? It doesn't offend me, really. It's just annoying and very immature.

 You can report this man for sexual harrassment. He sounds like a complete idiot and is abusing his job acting like this. Other people saying that he is just a womaniser is no good, they also need to take action as without it he will just get worse. At the moment he is annoying with his sexual comments and acting the fool, next he will probably start "accidently" touching you or "brushing" past you and make sexual comments about you personally. Put a stop to him before he goes any further.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 March 2008): Because he is a twit? Look up sexual harrasment. If your company is large enough there should be guidelines on this. If you are from the US the guy is playing with his job and the company with a multi-million dollar lawsuit.
Remember, you don't have to put up with this kind of crap, this is NOT the 1900's anymore.
It might be "harmless" behaviour by a guy who doesn't know how to behave, but if you suffer from it it has to stop, it is the law.
Make sure you are not just putting up with it. The law is on your side and he and your company should know better then to do this.
