I keep telling her that I'm cool being her friend, but I don't really think that I am. To make matters worse, we work together, so she is pretty unavoidable. My question is why is she initiating contact with me through text messages, IM, etc when she doesn't do that with other friends? Just this morning she texts me and says she went out to Black Friday and bought snowboard gear. Why did she feel compelled to tell me that? I don't snowboard and I don't really care. Every time I see a text from her I just realize we aren't together any more. I know that I should back away and create space, but why does she contact me more than anyone else if we are supposed to be just friends?
