writes: i'm going out with a lad not my usual type , i like him because he doesn't mither me like previous boyfriends do and my guy mates do. my mum said he looked immature based on his clothes , that by wearing hoodies means he is emotionlly immature then started comparing him to my ex. saying my ex was sorted, mature so on, irritated me alot.asked if i had met his parents yet and all sorts. we have only been together for 5 days why would i have met them?why does it matter? what do you do when noone seems to get why you are with someone?

reader, anonymous, writes (8 September 2009): Aslong as you like him that's what matters your parents just need to accept him. Give it time thats all and introduce your boyfriend to your parents, they'll soon realise what a good guy he is. Tell them to never judge a book by it's cover.
