Why does it hurt to pee after sex?

I've been having sex for over 2 years now and I've never really had many problems. However, a few months ago, I randomly got the symptoms of thrush. I went to the doctors and got something to treat it and it worked. But since then, it hasn't been the same. Everytime after me and my boyofriend have sex, I can't go to the toilet afterwards because it hurts too much. It doesn't hurt, it just really stings when I go and I don't understand why. I've never had this problem before, only after I had thrush. And it doesn't help if I leave it a few hours either. If I don't go to the toilet for 2 hours+ after sex, it still hurts. Not as much though. But the day after, everything's fine.

I was just wondering if anyone knows why it stings to pee after sex, if there's anything I can do about it or if anyone has had this before as well.

Miamine agony auntCould be cystitis, but it could also be the thrush coming back. You had treatment, but your boyfriend needs treatment too, unless you have sex with condoms. He may have re-infected you.

Anyway, we are not doctors and we cannot examine you. Any pain, any physical problems need to be dealt with by the doctor. Please contact your doctor and make an appointment to be seen again.
