 when someone looks you in the eyes it sometimes means they trust you or feel comfortable when around you.and you should be happy when a guy looks you in the eyes.its quiet romantic.

 Because he either loves you, likes you, or finds you beautiful and wants to gaze into your eyes. The lap thing is just a nice way to cuddle sometimes. This is a good thing, it's very sweet.
