A male United States age 30-35, *illakyle writes:

I will admit I'm not the nicest person in the world. I have been in a small fight yesterday with a girl I was sorta friends with last year. She said that I was friendless saying it harshly by the end of the convo and that no one likes me. I know I have lots and lots of friends so why am I still so majorly upset about this???

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (4 May 2012):

aunt honesty agony auntBecause when people say hurtful things to us it upsets us. Even though you know that it is not true and she probably said it in the heat of the moment just to hurt you, it is still going to upset you. Maybe you are feeling bad about the whole argument in general. Do you think it can be resolved between the both of you? If you both make peace with each other you might feel better about it then.
