It doesn't sound odd to me at all, in fact it sounds a lot like me :) I think its just a natural tendency to 'fall' quickly for someone that shows interest in you. I don't think there is much you can do except learn from what you've been through. Don't take life too seriously, and perhaps give 'playing hard to get' a go to see how it feels to be pursued. .
