aineire is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThanks you for your response… i did a lot of soul searching the last few hours and believe ive uncovered that I have a fear of receiving love, which has basically held me back for years having a relationship with men that i did fancy and were interested in me but the fear of receiving love stopped me..
DO you think this makes sense?

Simple...If you are shy too talk to someone, you will lose interest...why?? Because you have convinced yourself that you can never have them. So, why hold on to something you cannot have? In your mind anyway.
I bet you could have them...but first you have to say "Hi" :)
