Hi

I had pain on intercourse if it was a certain position and I got myself checked. It turned out I had a cyst on one ovary. In a certain position, it hurt me because of the cyst, in a different position, it didn't.

So do get yourself checked. Having the cyst removed was a simple procedure and sex was once again painless. It may be endometriosis also. But no-one knows for sure, so go to a doctor who will be able to tell you and put your mind at rest :-)

chigirl agony auntYou can't do doggy style. His penis has the wrong curve for this with you. Some positions work, some don't, it's not like all people can do the exact same position in bed and expect the same feeling. For some, doggy style will not work because it gives you pain. Especially if he has a straight penis, or one with a slight downward curve.

Try doing it sideways instead. This could give him the same pleasure, without causing you discomfort. That is what I did when I had a boyfriend with a downward curving penis. The easiest is when he lays on his side, and you put your legs on top of him, so that you form a 90 degree angle.

There are many other alternatives, browse through the Kama Sutra to find the one that fits you both.

Honeypie agony auntMy guess is it hurts because he is banging on your cervix/top of the uterus.

He is going deeper than what you physically can provide or harder than what's comfortable for you.

Go see your GYN.

And find other LESS painful ways of having sex?

Well, if you seriously think there's something wrong with you, get yourself checked out by a doctor.

My guess however is that you have a sensitive cervix. Doggy style is a position that allows the penis to penetrate quite deeply (that's why so many guys have this as their favourite position). Deep penetration means that the penis is knocking the cervix, which can cause contractions of the uterus so you get pain which is a bit like period pain.

I find doggy style quite painful for the same reason. I have found various things helpful in easing this pain but it does have to be a compromise.

1) Get to know your ovulatory cycle well. The pain may be worse when you are ovulating or about to start your period and during your period. I won't use the doggy position at these times of the month.

2) I must have my orgasm first in another position or through manual/oral stimulation. During the period immediately after orgasm, my muscles are more relaxed and the endorphins that are released during orgasm are a kind of natural painkiller (but you have to be prepared to change position immediately after orgasm rather than lie back and bask in the afterglow)

3)I will only tolerate the position for about 5 minutes so if my partner wishes to orgasm in that position he has to be close to it. So he will need to get most of his stimulation in a different position first.

4)I find two glasses of wine first is really helpful as alcohol has painkilling properties too - but it's not particularly good for you to do regularly so save this for evenings when you are going to be drinking anyway (My apologies if you don't drink alcohol at all)

5)He needs to go slow - no hard thrusting.

6)I will not use the doggy position it every time we have sex.

Hope this helps some.
