 There is no timescale... its when BOTH parties feel comfortable in taking thing further. Some would feel happy with just a month, others wait six months, some wait until they are married.. so its up to how the individual feels at the time. You need to make sure you are comfortbale with the person you are with and that you trust them and that you know them enough... dont just go headlong into something thinking oh well been with you 2 weeks its time to get down to the rude stuff it doesnt work like that... its about the couple, who you are what you want and how you want things to be... dont just have intimate relations with someone because of a specific time period, we all feel different about these things and when it feels right you will know. At the moment you are not ready as you are asking the question so you are treating this as a timescale event rather than how you feel about this other person. Hold make until you are comfortable,anybody who is worth anything will respect this and will go at the slowest persons pace.
Probably not the answer you were after... but these days be sure of who you are and what you want, not what someone else deems the right thing!
