Well I hate it, every time I look at it I hate it even more. I don't want to go another day looking like this, so I want to get it fixed as soon as possible. I was thinking about going back to the salon and having them color over the red highlights with 2 different colors (a light brown and a bleach blonde). I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or if maybe it's too soon to do it again.. I also was wondering since it was so dark to begin with and that's why they turned out orange, maybe since they're lightened so much now will they turn out bleach blonde? Thanks! Oh and also, is the hair dye they use in salons the same as you get in a box when you do it yourself? Do they both fade at the same rate and do they both turn out the same? An ash coloured toner could sort out the orange a bit, In the U.K we have a product called colour b4 and it basically removes the colour down to your lightest shade without damaging your hair. You might be able to find a stockist where you are if you google it, it does work too, just follow the instructions accurately. Or you could try a semi permanent ash shade to tone down the unwanted hues.

Most definitely, go back to the salon, and they SHOULD be able to do something for free because they should've realized that you had paid for a different shade!? Perhaps try a different hairdress there who is very experienced in color. Also, you may call them first to ask if it is OK for you hair to have new dye or toner put on so soon after. It might be OK, but you could save yourself the trip if you had to wait. In the meantime, perhaps wear a hat or some kind of cool scarf, and no one will notice.
They will be intrigued!

did you dye it yourself? if you got it done at a salon and are unhappy with it they will do it for free because you are unhappy with it. If you've done it yourself its because you need to do it in 2 stages you now need to get another blonde dye and dye it again. Your supposed to strip your hair of the brown then dye it blonde

Try a toner. My hair is naturally dark and when i last had highlights done the hair dresser warned me that they may not turn out totally blonde, but she would put a toner on to try and get rid of the reddy/orangey colour. before she put the toner on, it didn't look too bad, but she put the toner on anyway (I can't remember how long for) and when i left the salon I was a very happy sausage.
Go back to your salon and ask for advice if you need to. I don't know if a toner would work, everyone's hair is different! Salon colours are different to one's you buy in stores, they mix them in the salon there and then, so i wouldn't recommend colouring again with one from the store.
Best advice is to go back to your salon and ask if there's anything they can do for you.
