writes:im curious what makes a guy jelous? im not wondering this so i can treat a guy badly, im wondering this because it seems like guys dont understand it when a girlfriend tells him something bothers them or makes them jelous. do guys not get jelous or do they just not talk about it? also since most guys tell the gf that they understand and wont do certain things, but then they still do when shes not around, does that mean that most guys jelous spots wouldnt be bothered as long as certain things arent done around them, or are they just like us girls and would rather know the truth even if we hate what the truth is? i have no example really, but we can use stuff like porn or checking out girls as and example since thats what makes alot of girls jelous...

- ive gotten really upset about things shes done with her ex partners. i want all her memories to be revolved around me... lol sounds way controlling.
i think guys just really get ticked and jelaous when another man is showing interested in their girl

reader, anonymous, writes (14 December 2010): I think guys are just jealous naturally, when it comes to a girl they care about and want for their own.
They basically will have a problem (well, depending on the guy, I guess, some might get madder than other, some may keep it inside that it annoys them very slightly) with their girl talking alone with any other guy, even (sometimes) if 100% gay! Few exceptions to this.
They don't like any other man impressing their girl (unless it is their admirable own dad or something), even if she is not attracted to that man in the least, even if that man is not attracted to Her, and they don't like that they aren't the only ones who can make her laugh or affect her emotionally in any clear way. And certainly not Physically!
They will feel jealous. All evidence to the girl's great character and unfaltering loyalty would be of little consequence. They will not like it. They may not show it, but assume they do not like it and act accordingly (this does not meaning playing letusseeifthismakeshimjealousandthenincreaseshisattentiontowardsme games- ever!).
Bit unfair perhaps (the all but physical), but women have their irrationalities, too...
