I love spooning. Just think of two spoons nestled in a drawer, its not usually referred to as a sexual position but you could do it that way. Me and hubbie spoon every night and used to sleep that way all night long when we first met. 5 years on I have to move after about 20mins as it gets too hot and he's a heavy lump when he falls asleep with his arms wrapped round me. Once I move away we turn our backs on each other which apparantly is a sign of trust x

I may be a little older than you, (who knows) or may be somewhat old fashioned but I see spooning as "a little bit of sex". I mean the guy's wedged up against you, with his bits rubbing against you. I'd sure hate it if my man were to "spoon" with anyone but me. (LOL)

A

Its just really nice and comfortable. Try it! xx

I never feel so safe, warm, cared for and loved as I do then. We're in a long-distance relationship and I think that's the thing I miss most. Just nothing beats it.

Spooning is just one person hugging the other from behind, lying on their side. Like two spoons stacked together.
It can be sexual, but I know it most from a sleeping/cuddling position.
What is so special about it? It is very intimate yet comfortable. Wether it is better then other positions to sleep in is personal I think. We all got our preferences as couples.

I know spooning as what variety has said. Two people hugging each other. One facing away from their partner the other hugging them from behind

It doesn't have to be a sexual position. It can just be a type of cuddle where one parter faces away from the other one and they cuddle into each other. It is a really nice way to cuddle.

Spooning is where two partners lay side side with the woman facing away from the male, the male penetrates the female in this position, normally with this spooning position there is normally some overlapping on legs. Not sure why people make a big deal out of it, if they do. Its just another sexual position that i guess is more fun to do than the normal micernary position.
Hope this helps x
