A male United Kingdom age , *renville Dixon writes:

In the past I some times looked really close at the eyes (more precisely, the irises) of my former girlfriends and I felt my eyes going sort of "misty" and almost immediately their eyes did the same.

What causes this and what does it signify?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by "misty" but if your eyes are misty, then aren't the things that your eyes are mirroring going to look misty, and therefor your girlfriends' eyes?
