Question - (3 December 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 December 2008)
A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Me and my girlfriend have been togther for two years, We were getting on great. then all of a sudden for the past 2 months shes just distancing herself from me. Hardly ever gets intouch etc. She says she still loves me and wants to be with me, But she seems disinterested. I have asked her honestly if she has found someone else etc. and she says she really hasnt. I feel like a mug just waiting for her to get intouch. If I try and tell her how I feel and say its really hurting me I cant let it go on for much longer, she will come back with something like "oh I see you have found someone else I hope your happy with her " stuff like that its driving me crazy.

any advice please.

rachel2008 agony aunti feel that she needs some space and if u really love her u need to be able to give her that, although with her saying 'oh I see you have found someone else I hope your happy with her' then it seems like this is something she is fearing and is maybe keeping inside of her. she could be giving you some space as maybe she believes this is what you want. i believe that the best thing you can do is not to push her and dont keep assuming things about how she is feeling. be calm and go and buy her a small teddy and just leave it with a note of how u feel and how much u care for her..end it with, all i want is you and if i have to give u some time for you to realise this, then i will be hear waiting for u. remember she may be feeling insecure, be patient calm and reasuring and dont PUSH her! good luck
