I'm cautious because of my past experience with him, but so far so good. At a function we were both at I was introducing myself as my given name (ex. Stephanie) and he would come beside me and say "No, she's Steph". He also calls me Steph a lot in texts, which isn't something I'm used to. He was calling me pretty lady as well, until recently when I told him something personal about myself (that he knew before, but apparently forgot), its not a common issue most 21y/o have; the next day he started calling me missy. Missy makes me think he now sees me as a little girl that needs reprimanding. He's still flirting with me, he just seems more cautious, but maybe I'm paranoid. Is there any meaning behind the names/nick names guys call girls?

The 'pretty lady' name is a name that I have heard a lot of my male friends call other girls when they're trying to get them into bed but it means nothing to them and might not mean the same coming from him. But the 'missy' name is just a name, loads of people use it, there's nothing in it and it's not a way of making you feel young, it's just a name.
