Even with a long or irregular cycle you should see a slight rise when you ovulate. Having sex at this time should help. Has your partner had any children? It may be him if he has been your only partner in the last four years.

Adoption is another.
I think doctors can give you hormone pills so talk to a gaenocologist.
If it's with the same guy then maybe he's the infertile one, so maybe he should get checked out too.

Hopefully there are facilities on your little island in paradise that can check you both out for fertility problems. Meanwhile, keep having fun trying to conceive!
