Usually a missed period after having unprotected sex is a common warning sign.

If you're still not sure you could pop along to your chemist and get a free pregnancy test; they're 100% confidential.

Take it up to your bathroom and just read the instructions and follow them after you've had a bath.

Worst case scenario, and you are pregnant, then you should tell your mum as soon as possible because then at least you don't have to keep thinking about breaking it to her and you can plan what you're going to do together. Raising a child is hard work and at your age when life is just starting out I feel so sorry for you because that's your youth out of the window.

I would strongly advise thinking about what you would do if you were pregnant; because it could be a life changing decision. x_x_x_x

Use contraception! Condoms or the contraceptive pill are free from family planning clinics (you will find the number for your local one in your local telephone directory) or your Doctors (both of which are completely confidential). Thats the only way to avoid getting pregnant other than to not have sex at all of course! Also, condoms protect you both against any sexually transmitted diseases which is very very important!

The symptoms of pregnancy differ in woman, the first is usually a missed period, in this case do a test straight away. Some woman get sickness or tender breasts but generally a woman is aware after missing her period.

Its really not worth having unprotected sex and hoping for the best, there is so much contraception available you have no reason to worry about getting pregnant if you start being sensible with it. Good lunck x
