I have been with a man for several years. He has a crap load of baggage and we have managed to work through a lot of it. He also had financial issues that we have worked though. Or so I thought. Today I found out he had taken out a 5000 loan a year ago. He did not tell me. I don't know what to do. Should I break this off and give up the last several years?

A female reader, TELLULAH United Kingdom +, writes (10 July 2007):

TELLULAH agony auntHi,

Well you need to find out what he used this for. And why he felt the need to keep secrets from you.

If he has got into trouble with money before, he may need help from a profesional.

It seems from your letter, that you have done all the giving in the past. This is not something that you want for the rest of your life is it?.

So! should you give up on seven years. If he cant give you the answers you need to hear, I would say yes. Its better to get out now, than waste another seven.

Good Luck Xx
