writes: I will keep this short and to the point...I am married with kids. I work with a woman who is married with one child as well. We have worked together for several years and have harmlessly flirted in the past. Recently it got to the point where we opened up and even talked about how we liked each other and wanted to have sex. Didn’t mean it to happen, it just did I don’t know why. We love our families and cannot lose our jobs (it is a very rough job market out there and both support families) so we did not act on it. Things cool down after we talk about how we can't mess up and get together, but the feelings surface every couple of weeks to the point where one of us has to leave work for the day because the feelings are so intense. My question is where does this end? How do we live with this mutual attraction given that it is on my mind a lot (and hers too)? It is really hard, I am just looking for advice given the circumstances. Thank you.
