Hey!
Maybe you should try talking to her friend, let her know that you aren't trying to steal her friend away and if thzere is anything you could do to make it better between them. And if she says dump her then just tell her how much you like her friend, but think that shes a great girl too. it sounds like she is just jealous of her friend, thats all.
And don´t break up with your girlfriend, that is for her to decide. Try talking to her about it, reminding her that you will support her. But don´t make her choose between you and her friend if you can help it.
