We commonly dry-hump in nothing but our underwear… and I give him hand jobs, but he’s never cum anywhere near my vagina. Unless he did a little in his underwear or something, like pre-leakage or something. But even there, is it really going to jump out of his underwear, around mine, and into me? Sounds silly, but I'm worried. I haven't had a period in 3 months. I've never really been regular, but usually my cycle is a month and a half - its never been this long. I've also been eating a lot, but I blame it on Spring Break (whenever I go home I eat a ton because its free, and it usually takes me awhile to settle back into my normal eating habits.) I've gained a little weight, but its mostly above the belly button. What do you think? Can I be pregnant?

If you have not had actual intercourse (penis inserted into vagina) then there is NO POSSIBLE WAY you are pregnant.

Well, underwear is completely safe against sperm. It's just if some of it happened to get round the edge ... : )

Lately, I've had pains similar to those I normally get just before a period so here's hoping. I am in my last semester of graduate school, so it could be stress... though I've certainly been more stressed than this before. I have a doctor's appointment in a few weeks, so I guess I'll know soon enough. I appreciate all the answers so fast. I guess my biggest concern was how safe underwear actually was against sperm, but it seems like its a rare case to get pregnant. Thanks again, I'll try not to worry!

You can actually get pregnant from dry humping. The seamen can actually leak through his underwear and onto you. Although you said he didnt cum anywhere near you, there is a thing such as pre cum which he would of had and which can cause pregnancy.Seamen DOES survive outside of the body, which was proven in what Laura said I think. However the chances of this happening arent very big but it does happen.
Considerng you have missed 3 periods you could be pregnant BUT there is also a high chance it could be something else as there are alot of other causes for missed periods. You should go see your doctor, explain you have missed 3 periods and they will ask you a series of questions about sexual activities, about your weight, exercise and hormones. If you are underweight, have lost a sudden amount or weight or are over exercising this can cause missed periods. However thats probably not the cause in your case as you said you were eating more then usual and put on weight. It could be a hormonal imabalcne. Doctors determine this through a simple blood test, and if you do have it, they usualy put you on some form of medication. And finally the other main cause of missed periods is stress.
And there are more uncommon reasons as well. But you wont know what it is untill you go see your doctor :) so put your mind at rest and have a checkup.

You need to do two things:
1) take a pregnancy test (buy one over the counter)
2) see a doctor about your missed period if you aren't pregnant
It is extremely unlikely from what you've said that you could be pregnant, but stranger things have happened. The pregnancy test is the first thing to do. Good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2008): Honey, I would be very very surprised if you were pregnant. The chances are very slim. You know, recently I went through a period where I thought I was pregnant. My period was 3 weeks later than it should have been, and I've always been regular. I was stressing so much, even though I took a test and it came back negative. I believe stress actually stopped my period from coming. Once I calmed myself down, took long hot baths and stopped worrying as much as I could, it came within a day! Really. So try to stop all your worrying if you can, because it'll make a huge difference. Of course, to cancel out your worrying, it's very easy nowadays to get the pill. Just visit your doctor, and it'll all be sorted. Good luck :]

How long human sperm can live outside the human body depends
on several things: temperature and humidity among them.
At room temperature (75 ?F or 25 ?C) without dehydration the
sperm can live between 4 and 6 hours.
Dehydration means, without drying out.
After all, the semen (viscous, whitish secretion of the male
reproductive organs, containing spermatozoa and serving as their transporting medium) is over 85% water.
So then if the semen loses water (dehydration) this material
begins to crystallize; all the while the sperm cells also undergo water loss.
Therefore, in ordinary dry air at room temperature when dehydration is an added factor, human sperm can live maybe 1 to 3 hours. That's about all.

Not eating or extreme physical work can stop your mentrual cycle... I used to live with dancers who wouldn't get periods for months at a time. If you are a virgin I don't think you are pregnant. You can always buy an over the counter test to be sure. But definitely see a doctor about the missed periods.
