We never talk but he looks at me. Does he like me?

There is a guy that always make eye contact. Not just an eye contact but there is something behind his stares. My friends always catch him staring at me when ever he's around. He used to always come to school early but after he noticed me he comes really early at the same time I come to school too. Once we were at the hallthe both of us alone. And he kept avoiding eye contact and seemed really nervous. I caught him before looking at me but I just looked down and made my self talking with my friend. But sometimes I just lock eye contact with him for a few seconds then he breaks it and looks away fast and looked really nervous. We never talked before though but sometimes he comment nice comments on my artworks on social medias. And his friends alway keep and eye on me. I'm a shy person and I think he's shy too. And I'm wondering if he likes me?
