stina agony auntHello again,

Well, since I guess you can't legally adopt until you turn 21 anyhow, that will give you time to research what needs to be done.

Have you looked online for information about surrogate mothers? Maybe even your doctor/fertility doctor knows about organizations that help people out?

Have you actually called or visited an adoption agency? Sometimes places are just bad at getting back to those on email - or maybe they're just swamped. I would call up several reputable adoption agencies you've emailed and talk with them about the process. You could also see if it's possible to schedule an appointment to speak with someone in person about all of your questions. This way, they may work with you until you meet the age requirement, showing/proving that you are doing all that you can to be prepared for the addition of a child.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but if I think of anything else then I'll be sure to respond again!

hi thanks for your answer in the u.k its completely different you cant advertise for that in newspapers and to adopt you need to be 21 plus i would want a young child and you cant adopt infants as they are the hardest to find. ive been on loads of adoption agencies but none to my satisfaction and the international ones when i email they dont answer i have money to be able to pay for any legal fees or if it was to be a surrogate mother we can pay for whatever the mother would need we just cant find one we are desperate for a baby though.

stina agony auntHi Anonymous,

I'm not sure if they do this over in the UK, but here in the US couples can put an "ad" in the classified sections of newspapers. Here are a couple ads that I just read from one of my local papers - they may give you some ideas for wording:

-- ADOPTION- loving family hoping to adopt an infant, will pay legal and medical expences, Please call Mike or Kate.

-- LOVING COUPLE- WISHES to adopt infant, willing to pay medical and legal expences. Lets help each other!! Please call Dan and Laura

Have you looked in your phone book or online about the various adoption agencies around you? I would try doing that, as well. Many times there are usually strict guidelines (how long a couple has been married, how long they have been working, etc) so as long as you fit the description of the parents they are looking for, it should eventually work out.

Hope this helps! Take care.
