She seemed sad at first... now on the rare occasions we cross paths, she just ignores me too... A friend told me she saw her at a disco drunk grinding on some jobless looser soon after the could shoulder started , she usually doesn't do this, as far as I knew... Was I too harsh to completely ignore her without even telling her why? I wonder how did that make her feel...

So you were seeing her
she upset you and you opted to punish her by ignoring her.
now that she's accepted it and moved on you are keeping tabs on her via mutual friends...
Personally I think your ignoring her and not giving her feedback to what she did wrong was incorrect. You should have behaved as an adult and told her what upset you and then ended it, if it was that unforgivable.
personally I think you did it to pay a bit of a game with her...

In most cases we already know the answer. When you do things or plan to do things turn it around and ask yourself how would I feel.Ignoring somebody is not a nice thing to do and without a given reason you leave somebody with a question they will try to fill in on their own. Most of the time people think of worse reasons than the actual reason is.So my opinion is you were too harsh.
