I am doing running crew for a play and i asked one of the cast members(X) if i could buy him coffee sometime , He said sure and i got his phone number but as we were standing there his friend(Z) said that's not his number, that he had giving me his other friends(Y) number.

So i asked X again what his number was and he gave it to me . But my question is why would he give me his friends number ? why not just say no thanks ? I can take rejection but playing a trick that is cruel.

This guy is best termed a "knob" , meaning a d*ck!

Even if he does want to do coffee one day don't even bother.

This guy is shallow, mean and just plain cruel!

Honeypie agony auntIt's kinda childish of him to not give you the right number, but are you sure that Z is telling you the truth?

I'd call the number and if it is Y, then you know that X is a guy, who can't say no thanks in a nice way. Maybe it was his way of letting you down "nicely"?

However, I have known many girls commonly give guys the wrong number just so they will leave them alone. I know I have many times when I worked as a bartender and they didn't take no for an answer.
