Question - (6 November 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 6 November 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My ex was arrested the following night of him attacking me. It was my friend who rang the police luckily she was there when he got in my flat, and pulled a knife on me. He wrecked my flat too, his bail conditions meant that he wasnt to come near me or my flat. He turned up several times, the first time i rang the police but hes so persuasive i began to forgive him and started contact again with him. i wanted to forgive him stupidly then, i realised what i was doing and how stupid i was being!

he'd turn up again and again and i rang the police a second time, after that we had contact again and again he turned up uninvited causing trouble so i rang the police. i know its pathetic but i thought didnt realise at the time what he was doing, i now know he was trying to keep me sweet for the court case. he has evidence on his phone of our court case.

Am i going to get into trouble for this at court? its been so hard the past few months im so scared of going to court and it all being brought up please help who can i speak to?

Starlights agony auntIt depends.

Only your solicitor can legally tell you if you've shot yourself in the foot here, but in my opinion:

you have a witness, he pulled a knife out on you, trashed your flat, all this makes him look worse character infront of the judge than you.

However you can also let the court know via your solicitor he may have been trying to manipulate the situation.

The courts may show mercy.

Speak to your solicitor asap!

Goodluck.

tux agony aunti doubt you have problems with it because after all he pulled a knife on you which should have been a sign to avoid him to begin with. but if you want to be more certain, talk to a lawyer about it.
