Turning a friend into more ?

Question - (22 April 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 22 April 2009)
A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I'm wondering how to tell if a friendship can turn into more. I'm 99.9% oblivious to flirting or any signs women give to people they like. I have a friend that I'm close to and I like her, A LOT.

Are there any signs that can help me guage where I stand or if there are subtle ways I can try and find out. I think there could be a chance, but I'd need to be really sure before I put a strain of that magnitude on a friendship if not destrying it for nothing.

Sometimes when we are drunk I almost get the courage to kiss her, sometimes we end up staring into each others eyes but I just can't guage if it's a go or no go, so I never go through with it.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
